Remove the Last login Message from the Terminal

Launching a new Terminal window in macOS or most of the linux distributions greets you with a last login info:

Last login: Sun Mar 28 20:57:37 on ttys001

To remove the last login message:

Switch to your home folder

 

cd ~

Create an empty .hushlogin file

 

touch .hushlogin

Restart or your Terminal
